VEGAN SHORTBREAD BARS

Bottom Crust:

  • 3/4 cup packed blanched almond flour
  • 1.5 tbsp melted coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • Pinch of salt

Middle Layer:

Chocolate Top:

  • Melted dairy free chocolate / white chocolate swirl 🍫

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350 and line a loaf pan with parchment paper (do NOT oil the pan) In a bowl add your crust ingredients and mix. Press the dough into the loaf pan. Flatten it well and bake for 7 min, turn the pan and then bake for 4 min again or until the edges are golden brown. Remove it and let it cool completely on a wire rack.

Spread the date spread on the crust. Top that with melted milk chocolate. Swirl in the white chocolate and (optionally) sprinkle with salt!!! Place pan in the fridge for 30 min.
