VEGAN CINNAMON ROLLS

Ingredients: 
* 1 packet rapid rise or activated yeast*
* 1 1/2 cups cashew milk
* 5 cups GF flour
* 1 tsp sea salt
* 1/2 cup applesauce
* 1/4 cup plant-based butter
* 1 tsp vanilla extract
*optional* 1/4 cup of stevia for extra sweetness*

Cinnamon Coating:
* 2/3 cup Cinnamon Date Spread
* 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
* 2/3 cup plant-based butter
* 1 tbsp cashew milk

Instructions:

Place non-dairy milk & butter in a small saucepan and heat over low heat until lukewarm.
Remove from heat and whisk in the yeast. Let sit.
Meanwhile, mix together dry ingredients and set aside.
Whisk the applesauce and vanilla into the milk mixture and then pour entire liquid mixture into the dry ingredients.
Gently mix / knead until it forms a smooth dough. Add additional milk if too dry or if the flour is too sticky. Roll dough out into a large rectangle on a floured surface.
In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon filling ingredients (melt the butter first) & spread evenly on the dough.

Starting at the other short end, roll the entire dough into a cylinder shape, divide/slice evenly, and press down on one edge of each roll to form a heart-shape. 
Place slices on a parchment lined round cake pan, cover with a kitchen towel, and let rise for 1/2 hour in a warm spot.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until slightly golden.
Let sit for 5-10 minutes before eating.
